Kissinger declares Loss

Wow! They lost Kissinger. The very man who said that political and mental will is necessary to win the war has lost his political will! How disheartening for the Bush Administration.

"If you mean by 'military victory' an Iraqi government that can be established and whose writ runs across the whole country, that gets the civil war under control and sectarian violence under control in a time period that the political processes of the democracies will support, I don't believe that is possible," [Kissinger] told the British Broadcasting Corp.

So much for "winning in Iraq." According to Kissinger, then, since there is no victory possible, our further involvement wastes American lives - the height of immorality.
