$20 crude

Obvious Statement of the Year Award:
"If oil was still at $20, no one would be talking about peak oil," says Manouchehr Takin, senior petroleum upstream analyst at the Centre for Global Energy Studies, a London-based consulting firm.
That's from an article about Peak Oil in Bloomberg, so it's good that the crumb-bums are reading it. Now they can hatch their smoke-filled-room conspiracies and save us all from the trauma of a stuttering, jarring transition from fossil fuels to renewables. I can't believe the Republicans are failing us so badly in this regard. They should at least be developing plans for new nuclear power plants, right?
